Today Has Been Okay

Woke up under warm blankets, a long-limbed boy climbing to see if I'm awake. Raisin Bran for breakfast. A walk to school in the early autumn sun. Blowing kisses goodbye.

Then work, with good and decent people grateful to have someone read their words expecting to be delighted.

I feel lucky in this work today.

E's noggin is healing nicely. His sweetness undented. Yesterday he made me a charm bracelet of bright plastic beads strung on a cheap elastic string. Today I pray that it won't snap or fray.

He sits on his own reading now. This began just days ago. Green Eggs and Ham. The Cat In The Hat. Miraculous.

Even checking the mail today was okay.

I'm glad today was nicer, and that E's face wasn't too bunged up. What will we do with these willy-nilly, gangly boys? Jack is like a wild pony gallumphing through my house with his uncontrollable tween limbs flying. I love it.:)

I also love the Emiliana song- so beautiful, and the pics are a nice meditation. Thank you!

Em,
Love the blog. I'm becoming ADDICTED!! Love to hear about your trials & tribulations being a mom ..... I'm living it also. Love it!! It goes by WAY too fast.

It's good to read another mom's words and live in her world for a few moments. Reading about your experiences makes me love my kid even more and I can't wait for us to reunite at the end of the day. For some reason I can feel the strength of all NY women right now and I'm thankful.
